Credit Card Fraud – How we can help you stay protected.

Globally, card issuers are experiencing an increased level of card fraud particularly in the East Coast of the United States.

Our number one priority is the protection of your transactional activity and as a result we have instituted a few new changes intended to protect you, our valued customers from any potential fraudulent activity.

Effective immediately, we will be placing blocks on certain overseas transactions in an effort to curtail fraud.

Due to these restrictions, we remind you that you should always notify us of any intended international travel 48 hours prior to departure by calling 298-CARD (2273). When calling, please provide us with the city and country you intend to visit and contact information for while you are travelling overseas in the event that we need to reach you. Advance notification of your travel will give us the ability to monitor your transactions more carefully and avoid any unnecessary blocks to your overseas transactions. Customers who have not notified us of their travel will be subject to the abovementioned temporary new fraud protection process.

We appreciate that this may cause you some concern; however please know that these important steps are being activated to protect you from any potential fraud. Authorities both in the US and Bermuda have identified certain merchants and jurisdictions as high risk, making it necessary for us to institute a process to mitigate any potential customer fraud.

Should you experience any fraudulent activity on your card, visit us online at

www.capital-g.com or at the Welcome Desk at Capital G Bank where you can either download or collect a Cardholder Dispute Form. We’ll ensure, once verified, that any fraudulent activity is reversed from your account and you will not be held liable for the charges. Compromised cards are also blocked to prevent further transactions and new cards issued for your use.
